丰台街道简介

丰台街道位于丰台区中部，是区委、区政府所在地。分别与花乡、卢沟桥乡、新村街道、卢沟桥街道接壤，面积8.9平方千米。常住人口40046户、10.26万人。办事处驻丰台镇兴隆中街8号，面积9.18平方千米，人口9.14万。邮编100071。辖20个社区：新兴家园、总后直属分部、63号院、北大地16号、北大地西区、东安街头条、北大街北里、东安街、东大街西里、北大街、东幸福街、永善、正阳北里、东大街东里、东大街、前泥洼、南开西里、向阳、建国街、新华街北、新华街南、程庄路

丰台源于明代风台村，在明清年间就以种花扬 丰台街道 名京城内外，每逢春时，为京都人游观之地。 清光绪二十一年(1895)，修建丰台铁路，设站，称丰台站(现正阳大街东段)。修路民工云集，拆迁筑路，使古丰台村貌化为乌有。随铁路不断发展，丰台村逐渐演变为以铁路运输、饮食客店为主要经营方式的"道口"小镇，即丰台镇。1990年，根据丰台区人民政府文件，将"丰台镇"更名为丰台街道。位于丰台区中部，地处西三环南路和四环路一带，是区委、区政府所在地。东起西三环南路，西至程庄子路，南邻新村街道办事处境域，北靠丰北路。办事处驻丰台街道中部兴隆中街。现内设机构20个科室，辖区内成立有21个社区居委会。面积8.9平方公里，常住人口10.26万人。清真寺1座，是回族较聚居的地方。
